Terms and Conditions

Better Body Therapy · Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms apply when you book an appointment, buy a gift card, visit our clinic or use our website, www.betterbodytherapy.com. Please read them before booking. By booking or paying, you confirm that you accept them.

1. About us
Better Body Therapy is operated by Thomas Bryant trading as Better Body Therapy, a sole trader (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Practitioner: Tommy Bryant, osteopath registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), registration number 15257192
Clinic address: Better Body Therapy, Amersham Road, Chesham, HP5 1NE
Phone: 07983 464106
Email: info@betterbodytherapy.com
You can check our practice on the GOsC public register.

2. Our services
We offer osteopathy, craniosacral therapy, sports massage, dry cupping, exercise rehabilitation, marathon coaching and home visits (within a 5 mile radius of Chesham), plus gift cards. Details of each service are on our services page.

  • First appointment: 60 minutes, including case history, examination and treatment.

  • Follow-up appointment: 40 minutes.

The information on our website and social channels is general information only and is not a substitute for medical advice. We cannot guarantee any particular result from treatment, as outcomes vary between people.

Our clinic is not an emergency service. If you have a medical emergency, call 999. If you need urgent medical advice, call NHS 111. If your practitioner identifies symptoms that need medical attention or fall outside our scope of practice, we will refer you to your GP or other appropriate services.

3. Booking
Appointments can be booked online, by phone or by email (see our contact page). A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or message from us. Please check the details carefully and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

Please arrive on time. If you are late, your appointment may need to be shortened so that other patients are not delayed, and the full fee will still apply.

4. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are shown on our booking page and website.

  • We are not VAT registered, as services provided by registered osteopaths are VAT-exempt in the UK.

  • Payment is taken online at the time of booking or in the clinic after your session, as shown at checkout. We accept debit and credit cards and digital wallets such as Google Pay through our secure online checkout.

  • Online payments are processed by Wix Payments and our payment partners. We do not see or store your full card details.

  • We may change our prices at any time. Changes do not affect appointments already confirmed.

5. Cancelling and rescheduling

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please contact us by phone on 07983 464106 or by email at info@betterbodytherapy.com.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed appointments (no-shows), are charged the full appointment fee.

  • If an emergency or unforeseen circumstance prevents you attending, please contact us as soon as possible. We may waive the fee at our discretion.

  • If we have to cancel or reschedule, we will give you as much notice as we can and offer you a new time or a full refund.

  • Our full Cancellation Policy applies to every booking.

Your right to cancel (online and phone bookings): If you book at a distance, you normally have 14 days from booking to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Because appointments usually take place sooner than that, you will be asked to confirm at booking that you want the service to start within the 14 days. If you cancel after treatment has started, you will pay for the treatment already provided. The 24 hours’ notice requirement applies to every appointment regardless of how far in advance it was booked, including appointments booked less than 24 hours before they take place.

6. Refunds

  • If we cancel an appointment, or you are charged in error, you will receive a full refund.

  • If you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice, any payment you made in advance will be refunded in full or moved to a new appointment, as you prefer.

  • Refunds are made to the original payment method, usually within 14 days of us agreeing the refund.

  • If you are unhappy with a service, please tell us so we can put things right. See Complaints below.

7. Gift cards

  • Gift cards can be used towards any service we offer. They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Gift cards are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.

  • If a gift card does not cover the full fee, the balance is payable at the time of booking.

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Please keep your code safe.

  • Cancellation terms in section 5 apply to appointments booked with a gift card.

8. Home visits
Home visits are available within a 5 mile radius of Chesham. You must provide a safe, clean and suitable space for treatment, free from distractions, and tell us in advance about any pets or other people who will be present. We may end or decline a home visit if we do not feel the environment is safe. Cancellation terms in section 5 apply.

9. Your health and consent

  • You must give us accurate and complete information about your health, including injuries, surgeries, medications, medical conditions, pregnancy and any change in your health, before and during treatment.

  • Your practitioner will explain the proposed treatment, its benefits and any material risks, and ask for your consent before starting. Treatments such as osteopathic manipulation, soft tissue work, dry cupping (which can leave temporary marks or bruising) and exercise rehabilitation carry some risk of temporary soreness or other side effects.

  • You can ask questions, refuse any part of the treatment, or withdraw consent at any time.

  • With your explicit consent, we may use an AI-assisted tool to record and transcribe consultations to produce clinical notes. You are free to decline, and we will take notes manually instead. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Children and chaperones
Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult throughout their appointment. Adult patients (over 18) are welcome to bring a friend, family member or chaperone to any appointment, with their own consent. Any patient may also ask for a chaperone to be present, and we will arrange this where we reasonably can.

11. Marathon coaching
Coaching programmes are tailored to the individual. We cannot guarantee a particular race result or injury outcome. Coaching is not a substitute for medical advice, and you should tell us about any health condition that may affect your training. Coaching sessions are subject to the same payment, cancellation and refund terms as appointments (sections 4 to 6).

12. Our right to refuse or end treatment
We may refuse or end an appointment if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or behave in a threatening, abusive or inappropriate way towards us or others, or if we believe treatment would not be safe or appropriate. In those cases the full fee may still be payable.

13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. We hold professional indemnity insurance as required by the GOsC.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss or damage that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, or for business losses. Please look after your personal belongings. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged at the clinic or during home visits unless caused by our negligence.

14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@betterbodytherapy.com or on 07983 464106. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the General Osteopathic Council at www.osteopathy.org.uk.

15. Privacy and your data
We handle your personal and health information in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please read our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, store and protect your information.

16. Website use
The content on our website (text, images and branding) belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our permission. Links to other sites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website when you book applies to that booking.

18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the courts of that country. This does not affect your statutory rights.
